Korean Gov't Granting Internet Telephone Licenses

The Korean Ministry of Information and Communication announced on Friday, June 17 that it has granted licenses for Internet telephone services to seven companies, including Korea Telecom, Hanarotelecom, Dacom and SK Networks. Services will start in September 2005. Furthermore, the ministry granted a license to Powercomm to provide high-speed Internet access to the retail market.
